Book a Spring Break with Durrants Holiday Cottages!

Make the most of the glorious British weather this Spring and book a last minute short break with Durrants Holiday Cottages...

Spring on The Suffolk Coast is a beautiful thing; glorious sunshine and cool winter winds. It’s the perfect opportunity to wrap up warm and embrace the sea air, but don’t forget your sunglasses!

When Charles Dickens wrote of March days in Great Expectations, he described them quite perfectly as “when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light and winter in the dark”.

The weeks leading up to the May half term week are the perfect opportunity to grab a last minute break; making the most of the spring sunshine whilst benefitting from ‘off peak’ accommodation rates.

You quite often find self-catering properties will do short breaks off peak meaning you can cosy up for a long weekend or enjoy a longer midweek stay.

Abi Charter, Marketing Manager at Durrants Holiday Cottages has some great tips for grabbing a bargain Spring break:

"Don’t always go by availability on websites. If you’re looking for a last minute short break you’re always best to give our office a call. Not all owners advertise short breaks but they can be easily arranged by our knowledgeable and friendly staff...

If you would like to take advantage of the first May Bank Holiday and have three nights in Southwold from 28th April, Durrants would be happy to make enquiries with owners that still have availability to see if they’ll do a short break or a special offer.

For example, you could hire ‘Coastguards’, a two bedroomed, cosy Victorian cottage with an en-suite bedroom and garden, facing Bartholomew Green and St Edmunds Church, for three nights from Friday 28th April for £395.

In addition to getting your pick of off-peak accommodation at favourable prices, you can also enjoy long walks on quiet beaches, not having to queue for a table in your favourite restaurant or café and enjoying the peace and tranquillity that comes with a stay on The Suffolk Coast.
