Cool Children's Parties on The Suffolk Coast

Long gone are the days when children were content with ‘jelly and ice cream’ parties at home - In fact some youngsters and their parents spend months planning for their birthday celebrations and the more original the idea the better! So if your little ones are hounding you for that extra special party with a difference, we’ve come up with a few cool venues here on The Suffolk Coast to make the occasion really memorable…

Perfect for spring and summer parties, kids can enjoy a round of crazy golf at the 'Birdie at Every Hole' 9 hole course and a sail on the boats at Southwold Boating Lake and Tearooms before sitting down to a yummy party tea of sandwiches, sausage rolls, cakes and ice cream

The slightly older birthday child will probably prefer an awesome skating party at Rollers on the Claremont Pier in Lowestoft. Kids love the one hour disco skate party with full disco type lighting, mirror balls and smoke machine! Party packages include a meal in Nemo’s Restaurant plus party bags. If you’re just a kid at heart why not join in with the fun too, if you think you can stay on your feet!

Amusement arcades have long been a favourite with children, so why not combine a party too? Party on the Pier (on Southwold Pier) offers just this – Kids can have fun in the arcade and House of Games, stopping for delicious hot or cold party food in the Beach Café. They may even be lucky enough to leave with a few prizes as well as having a fantastic time.

RSPB Minsmere Discovery CentreIf your little one has been inspired by BBC Springwatch, Head down the Suffolk Coast for a truly original party experience with some feathered friends and check out The Discovery Centre on the Minsmere Nature Reserve. The Wild Zone delights kids of all ages with its Sand Martin tunnels and Willow-Woven Bittern nest. Children love nothing better than joining in with the team challenge of building a den whilst the grown ups enjoy the home cooked offerings in the café.

If your little ones love a visit to the movies, here’s a party experience you won’t forget – Little Lightening in Framlingham is a pop up cinema in a 16th century barn. Kids adore watching their favourite film strewn out on the comfy sofas, cushions and crash mats. Add to this a mouth-watering hot dog, pud and soft drink for the ultimate movie party experience!

Kids love letting off steam, and where better to let them run, jump and play than at the Pit Stop Cafe in Southwold. There's plenty to keep everyone entertained but why not make it an extra special experience with a visit from their favourite characte, be it a princess, superhero or pig courtesy of Just Kids Parties East Anglia!

Wherever and however you choose to celebrate, a birthday on The Suffolk Coast is sure to be a fun-filled experience!
