Family friendly pubs on the Suffolk Coast

Whether you’re having a day out on the Suffolk Coast or you’re coming here for your family holiday you’ll be looking for somewhere pleasant to have a break and a bite to eat.

And the Suffolk Coast has got plenty of family-friendly pubs where you can all enjoy more quality time together.

Let’s start with The Crown at Woodbridge

You’ll find great British menu’s with locally sourced produce plus food that will keep the kids happy too.

Find The Crown at Woodbridge at the top of The Thoroughfare, at the heart of this delightful market town.

Just outside Woodbridge you’ll find The Ufford Crown.

The pub comprises a spacious restaurant, a cosy bar and a stylish lounge area which is popular for diners as well as private parties. There is a terrace and a garden at the rear where warm summer evenings and lazy Sundays can be enjoyed. With a varied children's menu, toys, colouring books and a play area in the garden, the kids will love The Crown at Ufford.

In the pretty seaside town of Aldeburgh you’ll find The White Lion

Offering freshly prepared dishes in contemporary surroundings, the brasserie menu includes fresh fish bought from Dean's Shed, situated on the beach opposite the White Lion as well as locally smoked kippers.

There’s a specially prepared children’s menu or they can feel all grown up and order a smaller portion from the main menu.

Staying by the seaside at Felixstowe there’s The Alex Café & Brasserie on the promenade. A great place to rest a while from the hustle and bustle of the seaside.

The Alex Brasserie, on the first floor (lift access) is an informal venue offering seafood, grill and classic brasserie style fayre. The full menu is complemented by a set menu available noon till 6pm, Monday to Friday and a choice of traditional roasts on Sundays. And there’s a children’s menu too.

Whether it’s in the centre of a bustling Suffolk market town, a quiet rural setting or down by the sea, you’re sure to find great food, local beers and just the right atmosphere to make you want to come back again and again…
