Christmas Wreath Making with the Suffolk Punch Trust – Friday 9th December
Head to Hollesley for a creative wreath making day.
Enjoy making and designing your own Christmas wreath at this creative Christmas event at Hollesley. The day will start with coffee, pastries and a demonstration, then a delicious lunch and in the afternoon, you get to make your own Christmas wreath followed with afternoon tea and cake.
Pre-booking is essential for this very popular event and you’ll need to bring along your own gardening gloves and secateurs.
Event commences: 10.00am - 3.00pm.
Christmas Craft Parties at Suffolk Food Hall
Here’s one for your little angels, at Wherstead near Ipswich...
A variety of festive activities have been devised especially for children at Suffolk Food Hall’s Christmas Craft Parties. Write a letter to Father Christmas, decorate a Christmas Tree decoration with Starglazing ceramics, then warm up with a lovely hot chocolate (complete with marshmallows and cream) and a cookie, and finally visit the big man himself, Father Christmas in his grotto!

Christmas Flowers and Foodie Gifts – Saturday 17th December
The Food Hub Cookery School on the Kenton Hall Estate, Debenham presents a day of Christmas flowers and foodie gifts with Naomi of Rose and Berry Flowers. This is the perfect course for anyone who wants to create something special for their festive celebrations.
The day starts with tea, coffee and mince pies before a hands-on Christmas cookery course followed by a light lunch and then an afternoon of flower arranging, creating a wonderfully festive table centrepiece with natural and fresh foliage, cones and berries.
Christmas Bread Workshop – Tuesday 20th December
Yet another fabulous activity day at The Food Hub Cookery School! This time join Sue Hudson on a wonderful Christmas bread-making workshop.
Sue will teach you a range of Christmas baking treats for the festive season, starting by making your own Marzipan from scratch, the essential ingredient for Stollen, which you will tackle later! Other delicious loaves include Cranberry and Toasted Walnut Loaf, Olive Oil Crackers for Cheese, Parmesan and Poppy Seed Crisp breads.
The course runs from 10.30am until 3pm and includes a light lunch and tea/coffee refreshments.
Winter and Christmas Singing Workshop – Saturday 10th December
By this time, you’ll feel so immersed in the spirit of Christmas that you’ll want to sing about it!
Why not join choir leader and singing for well-being practitioner Stephen Amer for this informative workshop, teaching traditional and modern festive and Christmas songs as well as ethnic deep midwinter folk songs and melodies.
This one-off workshop takes place at The Old School, Raveningham (run by the Raveningham Community Group) and is a fun and friendly musical experience suitable for anybody.
All ages and any ability welcome - no experience is necessary.
