View Point Cafe is a warm and friendly cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating serving all day breakfasts, snacks, fish and chips, 'dish of the day', cakes, ice cream, teas and coffees.
Take in the stunning views across the river and the opportunity to watch the huge cargo ships being loaded and unloaded at the Port of Felixstowe whilst you tuck into a tug driver’s breakfast or relax with a coffee and cake. Perfect fish and ships!
The View Point Cafe is set on the unique Landguard Peninsula, a nature reserve which is home to a diversity of flora, fauna, birds and wildlife. It's also home to Landguard Fort, one of Britain's best-preserved coastal defences which has played a key strategic role in the defence of the British Isles since the 1500's. It's a 'must see' attraction along with the fascinating collections held at the Felixstowe Museum - right on the doorstep of the cafe. Make sure you bring your binoculars for the ships and bird-watching spectacles!
Summer Opening at The View Point Cafe
Summer opening hours of 9am-6pm, daily, are now operating.
The blackboards now feature a quiche of the day and salads. After a stroll along the beach, pop in to the cafe, or sit on the terrace, and enjoy a pot of tea or a coffee with a buttie.
If you fancy lunch then there is quiche of the day with chips and peas (£6.95) or served with salad (£7.45).
Alongside the popular all day breakfasts the View Point Cafe also serves snacks such as Welsh rarebit (£3.45) and for summer, salads - Suffolk ham with coleslaw and salad (£7.95) and prawns in Marie Rose sauce, salad, bread and butter (£8.95). If the sun is shining and you wish to linger a little longer watching the ships go by, then they also have a selection of cakes and ice creams.
