The Cut - Halesworth

The Cut Arts Centre offers Halesworth and the surrounding countryside an extensive range of arts, music, theatre, dance, comedy, cinema, workshops and art exhibitions.

The Cut is also home to some successful local Festivals, including Suffolk Herring Festival and INK Festival.

Facilities include:

A 200 seat theatre complete with flexible staging and tiered seating, along with a professional sound and lighting system.
An upstairs dance/ performance studio with a top of the range Harlequin sprung dance floor.
The Malt Room art gallery.
Three meeting rooms for personal and group use.
Free WI-FI available throughout the building.

Additionally, The Cut has a large concourse which houses regular art exhibitions and a café and licensed bar, providing the perfect place to relax with a coffee during the day or a drink before watching a performance in the evening.

The Café serves coffee, tea, sausage rolls and a selection of homemade cakes and scones every day. Also available are delicious light lunches made using fresh produce from local providers and evening meals which are available by pre-booking for certain performances.

Alongside the programme of performances at The Cut, the Dance studio and meeting rooms are home to a series of weekly classes led by talented and knowledgeable instructors. From ‘Booty Barre’ to belly dancing, poetry workshops to watercolour and youth theatre to yoga, there’s something for everyone at The Cut!
