The Riverside Cinema may be 101 years old but the films and live broadcast events that are on screen are totally up to date.
Combine Fish & Flicks or Dinner & Film in the bright, contemporary restaurant and indulge in the whole Riverside experience.
And if a film doesn't take your fancy, grab a glass of wine at the bar (you can always take it into the film if you change your mind!)
The Riverside Cinema is located by the River Deben in the picturesque market town of Woodbridge. Originally a tented attraction used by travelling shows, it became a purpose built cinema in 1915, and recently celebrated its centenary. For the last 25 years, Stuart Saunders the owner has developed The Riverside into a well loved local venue, which is very much a thriving and vibrant part of the local Woodbridge community. The Riverside Cinema offers a variety of films for all tastes, from the latest big action blockbusters to art house and locally made films.
Since installing the digital projector, live broadcasts from around the world are now one of the most popular features in the programme, including operas from the Royal Opera House, international classical concerts, ballets from Covent Garden and the best of live theatre from the RSC and the National Theatre Live.
With the restaurant attached, The Riverside Cinema Woodbridge lends itself to a variety of film and dine experiences, such as Dinner and Film or Fish and Flicks offers - please see The Riverside website for more details of these, the current programme and opening times.
