Beccles Lido & Big Dog Ferry

Beccles Lido is next to the River Waveney on Puddingmoor, Beccles. A traditional outdoor swimming pool, heated to 28°C from May to September and also open for chill swimming in the winter. 

The Lido is open for walk-ins (subject to space and availability) but can be busy in high season so booking your slot is advised.

• The Main Pool 30 x 15 metres and has a 3.5 metre deep end with a 1 metre springboard and a slide.
• The Toddler pool is just 0.75 metres deep and has a separate paddling area ideal for babies.
• Giant inflatable aquarun sessions at weekends and daily in school holidays.
• Children's adventure play and family picnic area, plus all-weather exercise equipment.
• After dark floodlit swims under the glow of our underwater lights.
• The well stocked café serves hot and cold snacks, ice creams, cold drinks, delicious teas, coffees and hot chocolate.

Big Dog Ferry RIVER TRIPS

The Big Dog Ferry runs a timetabled service from April to October between Beccles Lido and The Locks Inn Community Pub, Geldeston.

Enjoy a relaxing 3 mile boat journey along the river with the opportunity to enjoy the wildlife en-route. Stay on board for a round trip, disembark and enjoy a meal, drink or music at the Locks, or take a one-way ticket and walk back on delightful footpaths.
