1. Easter Farmers Market at Snape Maltings

4. Easter Cruise on Orwell Lady

Enjoy a trip along the River Orwell on board the Orwell Lady as you cruise from Ipswich Marina to Pin Mill and back. The boat can seat up to 100 people so there' s plenty of room for families and groups of friends, and if you find yourself a bit peckish, snacks and drinks can be bought on board.

5. Minsmere's Minibeasts

Children will love taking part in the Minsmere's Minibeasts bug hunting trail and building a bug hotel at RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve. After you've completed the trail, head to the Discovery Zone where they can build dens and run around in the play area.

6. Family Concert - Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra

Children and young people will be inspired at this family concert at Snape Maltings. Conducted by Marin Alsop, you can enjoy the unique experience of listening to a live orchestra performing one of Benjamin Britten's musical scores.

7. Pleasurewood Hills

As Spring arrives, where better to enjoy a day out than at Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park in Lowestoft.

If you're feeling brave, jump onboard Wipeout, the tallest, fastest and most extreme roller coaster in the East of England, get soaked on Timber Falls log flume, plummet 60ft per second with a 5.5G force on the Jolly Roger Drop Tower or relax and enjoy fantastic shows.

When: Open weekends and during school holidays until July, then daily until 1st September. The park then opens on weekends in September, closing at the end of the month, and re-opens for October half term.

8. East Anglia Transport Museum

The East Anglia Transport Museum opens its gates for the season and welcomes families to hop on board a selection of vintage trams, trolleybuses and mini railway.
