It's Showtime at The Suffolk Show

Suffolk has so much to celebrate, and what better way to do it than in a two day extravaganza which showcases everything we love about our county – The Suffolk Show!

This year, on 1st and 2nd June at Trinity Park, Ipswich there is more than ever on offer for all the family to enjoy - a unique celebration of food, farming and the countryside. The only disappointment might be running out of time to pack everything in so, if you’re intending on heading over there this year, it’s probably an idea to plan what you want to see and do!

Here’s a really brief round-up of some of the exciting events and activities lined up…

From 8.30am right through to 5pm there are some amazing attractions and displays taking place in the Grand Ring – From show jumping to rare breeds.

In fact, animal lovers will be in their element this year, particularly equestrian fans - Marvel at the magnificent Suffolk Horses on show in the Grand Ring and make sure you make time for the runners and riders in the Shetland Pony Grand National!

Children will love the replica Anglo Saxon boat with interactive activities and learning about modern day farming in the Farm Discovery Zone, then head over for some thrills and spills on the fairground rides - The best bit is that children under 15 get in free!

You may be forgiven for thinking that The Suffolk Show is all about farming and animals but how wrong can you be? You’ll find live music happening throughout the day, an art show, and a cookery theatre to give you new ideas about dishes to cook at home. Be sure to check out Suffolk’s biggest pop-up- shop too for a little bit of retail therapy! From chic to unique, from local suppliers to famous brands, you’ll also find lots of shopping you can’t find on the high street, latest fashion on 5th Avenue, crafts and lovely things for the home and garden.

The foodies among you will not be disappointed either, as you’ll find Suffolk’s very finest mouth-watering food and drink available at Adnams Beach Eats.

In fact, it’s fair to say that there’s something to appeal to everyone at The Suffolk Show this year and it makes a great family day out in the half term holidays!
