New Autumn & Festive Menus at Sea Spice

Exciting new à la carte and set price menus at Sea Spice bring the exotic flavours of fine Indian cuisine to Suffolk’s Heritage Coast at Aldeburgh.

Autumn Menu

Featuring both classic favourites and tempting new dishes, the autumn menus at Sea Spice restaurant in the White Lion Hotel, make use of the region’s best produce from land and sea.

You can also now choose whether to dine in the restaurant and soak up its atmosphere or place your order in advance to collect and enjoy in the comfort of your own home.

Quality ingredients unite with Indian flavours originating over 4,000 miles away to create an array of dishes ranging from Goan inspired fish and seafood, to tandoori grilled meats, traditional fragrant curries and vegetarian options. Accompany your choice of food with locally brewed craft beers and ales or carefully selected wines from around the globe.

Signature dishes by Head Chef, Pratap Rawat include slow cooked achari bhuna king prawns, marinated sea bass is a Malabar fish curry sauce, East Suffolk muntjac vindaloo and braised Suffolk lamb shank marinated in a ginger and garlic paste, smoked in the oven.

Traditional favourites feature on the new menus such as chicken korma, chicken tikka masala and lamb bhuna, all served with your choice of breads and side dishes. There’s also a selection of fish, seafood, lamb, chicken and vegetarian dishes marinated and uniquely spiced before cooking in the tandoor oven. Here the extreme heat from the charcoal maintains moisture and imparts the familiar smoky flavour, loved by so many. Main course curries start from as little as £13 per person.

Book a table for eight or more family and friends and share a selection of tasty dishes from one of the new set menus priced from £25 per person. There’s also a children’s menu at £8 for two courses, specially designed for smaller appetites.

Christmas Menu

This year Sea Spice is offering a four-course Christmas Eve feast at £35 per person. You can also welcome in 2019 at Sea Spice with an indulgent evening centred around exotic food, delightful drinks, fantastic entertainment and good company. Celebrations start at 7pm, then after dinner you can dance your way into the New Year all for £95pp.

Sea Spice is a feast for the eyes as well as the tastebuds. Period features from the original building have been lovingly restored to enhance the bold, colonial-inspired interior with its deep rich colour tones, dark woods, rattan chairs and restored original oak floor.

With Head Chef Pratap Singh Rawat at the helm, diners at Sea Spice can be assured of a wonderful, multi-sensory dining experience with outstanding food created with great passion and flair.
