No sooner has the turkey, mince pies and copious amounts of chocolates been consumed, the New Year beckons along with the obligatory well intended resolutions.
But before we resign ourselves to the healthy diets and fitness regimes, let’s celebrate the last days of 2016 on The Suffolk Coast…
The festive season wouldn’t be complete without taking a visit to a traditional pantomime, so if you haven’t already done so, take the family along to ‘Beauty and the Beast’ at Lowestoft’s Marina Theatre for some good old-fashioned slapstick fun.
With a star cast including Jeremy Edwards [Hollyoaks and Holby City] as the story’s lothario Gaston, and the return of Lowestoft’s panto favourite Terry Gleed as the loveable and funny French Freddy, this year’s production is a foot-tapping, hand-clapping Christmas cracker of a show. Catch the last few performances up until Sunday 1st January 2017.
Further down the coast the Dennis Lowe Theatre Company return to The Spa Pavilion, Felixstowe with another family favourite – Jack and the Beanstalk. Follow Jack and his family as they try to make ends meet in this fabulous new production of one of the best loved fairy tales. Great pantomime humour is blended with some new twists and a highly talented cast to make this a show to remember! Performances run through to 7th January 2017.
