The Suffolk Coast

Suffolk Craft Society Summer Exhibition

The Suffolk Craft Society is back this July and August for their regular exhibition slot at the Peter Pears Gallery, just off the promenade and High Street in Aldeburgh.

On 14th July Jayne Lindill, Editor of Suffolk Magazine will be opening the Suffolk Craft Society’s Summer exhibition.

Since the 1970’s the Suffolk Craft Society’s Summer Exhibition has been an established part of the summer art scene in Aldeburgh, using the Peter Pears Gallery on the High Street

They have recently selected 3 new members to join their ambitious and industrious society of designer makers.

The exhibition is open daily until bank holiday Monday, 28th August and admission is free!

Almost all the work in the exhibition will be for sale and buyers can choose from an unequalled range of beautiful designer crafts. There will be something for all budgets with prices varying from just a few pounds for small pieces of pottery, handmade bags and textiles for the home, to larger sums for precious jewellery, glass work, framed prints, sculpture, furniture and woven wall hangings.

The exhibition is manned by the Society’s members, so you can enjoy the benefits of buying locally made designer crafts by speaking to the makers about their working processes or perhaps even commission a unique creation.

Visitors will also have the chance to take part in the grand prize draw. Members of the Suffolk Craft Society have donated their beautiful crafts as raffle prizes and you can buy a ticket for a chance to win.

Many people, locals and visitors alike, come back year after year, so come and find out what you have been missing!

The exhibition will be open daily, 10am – 5pm.
