Bartosz Glowacki - classical accordion

Hailed at one of the leading exponents of the classical accordion

Bartosz Glowacki will perform a programme of original works for accordion as well as his own arrangements of classical pieces including Piazzolla, Libertango and Scarlatti's Sonata in E minor K98.

Considered a leading light amongst the younger generation of classical accordionist - Glowacki was born in Poland and with his love for his instrument hopes to raise awareness of the accordion and develop new repertoire.

He studied at the National Music School in Sanok, then in 2015, graduated from the Royal Academy of Music with a first class diploma and Regency Award and continues there studying for his Masters. Winner of the Polish Young Musicians of the Year in 2009 and of many prizes in both national and international music competitions.

He has performed in some prestigious concert halls and premiered compositions. He is founder of the Deco Ensemble described as an “exceptional ensemble of the highest calibre”. He has also collaborated with well known musicians such as Nigel Kennedy, and also at the Royal Opera House, The Philharmonia Orchestra and many others.

Bartosz was awarded a place in the Open Space Scheme in 2015-16 in Aldeburgh where he had a residency to conduct innovative projects with accordion music.
