Marina Theatre's 2021 Pantomime

Covid-19 restrictions meant that Cinderella couldn’t go to the ball last year.

But, in 2021…she will find her Prince Charming!

With one charming Prince, two Ugly Sisters and a huge sprinkling of Fairy Godmother magic, join the Marina Theatre for Christmas 2021 to find out if the glass slipper fits and if Cinderella makes it to the ball and back before midnight.

Enjoy breath-taking special effects, spectacular scenery and sparkling costumes along with plenty of traditional pantomime mayhem, laughter and chances for you to join in the fun!

The Marina Theatre are delighted to announce that Prince Charming will be played by Jaymi Hensley from popular boyband Union J. The band formed on the ninth series of The X Factor in 2012. They went on to win Best British Breakthrough at the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards in 2013, earned 2 Official chart number 1 singles and, amassed 50 million streams plus 1 million combined UK Single and Album sales.

In 2020 Jaymi joined the official line up of Hits Radio Pride UK – the first ever national LGBTQ radio station.

Jaymi trained in Musical Theatre at the BRIT School and the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School where he met fellow Union J founder Josh Cuthbert.

In recent years Hensley has returned to the Musical Theatre world, including performances in Peter Pan, Joseph in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s UK tour of Joseph and His Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, and most recently in drag show ‘Queenz’.

Jaymi is very excited to be in Lowestoft for the Christmas season, as he started his professional career in Hopton in 2008 at Broadlands Sands Holiday Park.

The cast will also include Lowestoft’s favourite, Terry Gleed, as Cinderella’s best friend Buttons, TV’s John Lyons as Baron Harup, diabolical double-act Lav & Lou as the Ugly Sisters, Naomi Slater as the Fairy Godmother and Anna Morgan as Cinderella.

The Marina Theatre are thrilled to be offering two Relaxed Performances on Tuesday 21st December at 2pm and Thursday 30th December 6pm.

Andy Higgins will return for a Signed Performance Sunday 19th December at 5pm.
