Downton Abbey: A New Era (PG)

On screen at The Marina Theatre, Lowestoft.

Set in 1927, the first Downton Abbey film saw the Crawley family preparing to meet some very important guests: King George V and his wife Queen Mary. Cue in-fighting between the Crawleys’ servants and the royal staff, an overexcited Mosley talking out of turn to the Queen, and an upstairs-downstairs love affair.

For the highly-anticipated sequel, the Crawleys are headed to the South of France, where the Dowager Countess has come into possession of a villa. And there’s a film crew descending on the Abbey to use it as the backdrop to a major motion picture.

Both showings on Tuesday 14 June will be subtitled.
