Lowestoft Scores Race 2017

A Unique running event

The Lowestoft Scores Race is a unique race taking in the towns historic Scores.

Now in its 22nd year, the race starts and finishes in Lowestoft's High Street with competitors running along the sea wall and returning via the Scores.

The Scores are a series of stepped pathways that gave access from the town down to the beach and sea.

The Lowestoft Scores Race will see runners going up and down 13 of the scores - which includes a thigh-burning 401 steps in the 4.75 mile course.

The Junior Race stills sees youngsters running 1.4 miles and 254 steps!

Entries can be made online or on the day at Race HQ, Christchurch Hall, Herring Fishery Score, Lowestoft from 12:30.

And if all that puffing and panting is too much for you, still come along and cheer on the runners...
