Observational Art for Beginners

An introduction to Observational Art, for beginners at Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve.

This six-week Observational Art evening class is designed for true beginners. Anyone who has thought about doing some art but has never been sure how to start or is a bit scared about getting going, then this is the course for you. Expertly guided by tutor Ruth Wharrier you will gradually develop your skills, using the beauty of the natural world and Carlton Marshes nature reserve as your source of inspiration.

Ruth Wharrier (BA (Hons), PGCE, EGS) was born in Northumberland and studied at Durham University and The Chelsea Physic Garden in London. She is a freelance Botanical and Natural history artist and illustrator, a tutor for Suffolk Wildlife Trust, Wild Beach Leader, Arts Council Advisor for Arts Award, conservationist and teacher. She lives in Pakefield.

A materials list will be provided in advance of the course and the materials will be available to purchase as a set from Ruth. The cost of these materials is not included in the cost of the course.
