Parent & Child Chess Coaching event at Martlesham Heath

Chess coaching event for the parents/relatives and their chess-playing children. Spend an afternoon learning about the secrets of the chess world!

Event format: Coaching event for the parents/relatives (Group 1) and their chess-playing children

Topics for Group 1:

A) How to help your child in his/her chess career.

B) Improve your knowledge about chess game in general.

Led by IM/WGM Dagne Ciuksyte (ECF accredited coach)

Group 2 will be supervised and kept busy (coaching and playing chess games) in the same hall by two chess players/coaches 10-year old Charlotte and 8-year old Sofia.

Entry fee: £15 adults, £5 juniors Registration

Registration starts at 12.30, finishes at 12.55

Timings: (Doors open at 12.30)

Lecture No.1  1pm – 2pm

Questions & Answers 2pm – 2.30pm

Break 2.30pm – 3pm

Lecture No.2  3pm – 4pm

Questions & Answers 4pm - 4.30pm

Freestyle (discussion or 4.30pm – 5.30pm more questions and answers)

Basic knowledge of the chess rules is a bonus but not necessary. It’s more important you have a will to learn.
