PhotoEast Festival 2018

Suffolk's Biennial Photography Festival

PhotoEast returns for its second festival. A month long celebration of photography with exhibitions, talks and workshops all free to attend and explore.

This year’s festival is curated by Emma Bowkett and Josh Lustig, Director and Deputy Director of Photography, Financial Times Weekend Magazine and will feature the work of over 30 internationally renowned photographers on the 2018 Festival theme of Belonging.

On Saturday 26 May, kicking off the Bank Holiday weekend, there's a whole day of free talks and workshops with appeal for the photography professional and enthusiast, as well as family activities and events.

Contributing photographers including Sian Davey and Mark Power will be joined by Tom Hunter for the free public talks hosted by former Guardian Picture Editor Eamonn McCabe at the University of Suffolk’s Waterfront campus.

The full programme can be found on or look out for the brochure in shops and cafes around Ipswich.
