ROC Coastal Sportive 2022

ROC Coastal Sportive is a cycling challenge that will commence at sunrise by the UK's most easterly point at Lowestoft Beach in Suffolk, during the First Light Festival on 19 June.

The 100 mile route takes you to Cromer or a shorter 50 mile course heads Norfolk and back, both pass through areas of outstanding natural beauty, and historic towns and villages.

The event will be chip timed, with podium prizes, and all participants will receive a medal on crossing the finish line. Aid and water stations will also be located on the course.

The First Light Festival is a 24-hour multi-arts festival that will celebrate one cycle of the midsummer sun setting and rising over the beach. This really is a unique opportunity to be part of something special, with a whole host of activities taking place, and participants able to camp on the beach too (camping tickets available to purchase via firstlightlowestoft.com

Entries are open to participants aged 18 or over on 19 June 2022. £25/£50 Early Bird prices are available for the 50/100 mile challenges until the end of February. Event instructions and a course map will be emailed to entries.

This event is fundraising in support of local charity St Elizabeth Hospice, with all donations helping improve the lives of people living with a progressive illness in East Suffolk, Great Yarmouth and Waveney. Hospice volunteers will be helping marshal the course, and any donations that participants are able to make will be gratefully received.
