Suneli in concert

Songs from the Republic of Georgia

Come and enjoy a feast of music from the Republic of Georgia, sung by Norwich-based Suneli choir.

Suneli is a Norwich-based choir, led by Stephanie Anderson, singing music from the Republic of Georgia. A group of some 20 singers from all over Norfolk, as well as Suffolk and Essex, they are united in their love of the thrilling polyphonic harmonies that make up Georgian music.

Their repertoire draws on the geographical variety within the country, from the Caucasus mountains to lush lowland regions; and it covers many genres, from ancient sacred songs and circle dance songs to modern day party songs; lullabies and laments; love songs and drinking songs.

This concert will be in the stunning surroundings of Blythburgh Church on Sunday 17th May at 3pm.

Admission is free, there will be a retiring collection, and all profits will go to Medecins sans Frontieres.
