Wild Weather at Carlton Marshes

Uncover the secrets of our otherwise unpredictable weather: the causes and effects, cloud formations and what they mean, and what to expect when you plan your expeditions.

You will explore what is behind our incredible weather systems. From day-to-day pressure systems, wind directions and cloud formations to macro issues, Suffolk- and habitat-specific weather patterns, and the impacts on wildlife, which will give you a greater understanding and ability to predict what the weather will do next.

With the Trust’s beautiful Carlton Marshes as your dramatic backdrop, you will be able to observe any change in the weather through the picture windows as clouds shift over the Learning Centre.

You will leave with greater confidence to assess upcoming weather wherever you are.

Experienced local tutor, Mark Lewis, will guide you through the dynamics of weather conditions.
