The White Horse Hotel

Family run 18th century coaching inn situated in the historic town of Leiston, The White Horse Hotel is an excellent base for exploring all the unique coastal towns,villages and hidden hideaways Suffolk has to offer. 

The Team are passionate about delivering a memorable experience to all guests and visitors of either the hotel, contemporary rustic Ingalls Restaurant or spacious Smugglers Bar.

The White Horse Hotel sits in the centre of the historic town of Leiston on the main crossroad to the surrounding towns of Aldeburgh, Saxmundham and Southwold.

The 18th century coaching inn boasts 13 bedrooms, 11 of which are ensuite. Free guest wifi is available throughout the hotel and all rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, as well as daily housekeeping services. Hair dryers, irons/ironing boards are available upon request and all rooms contain flat screen televisions with Freeview channels. 

Check in time is from 2pm until late and checkout is 11am. There is free, limited parking on site as well as secure areas for bikes/motorcycles etc. 

Breakfast is served from 7am to 9.30am Monday to Friday and 7.30am to 10am Saturday and Sunday in the Ingalls dining room where guests and non residents can enjoy freshly cooked dishes with an emphasis on local sourcing of high quality ingredients. With a wide choice of vegetarian, vegan and allergy specific meals on offer, almost all tastes and needs can be catered for.

The main menu is served throughout the hotel from 11am until 9pm each day (except Tuesday and Sunday) as well as a light lunch menu, full children's menu and daily changing specials with most dishes available to take away there are also the facilities to cater for large events, parties and business functions.

The hotel's large garden contains a full size children's play area, bouncy castle in the summer months as well as a boules piste. Dogs are welcome in the garden and your four legged friends can also relax in the bar and snug areas where treats and water bowls are provided. 

The spacious Smugglers bar stocks a wide selection of beers and spirits with special emphasis on specialist Gins, locally brewed real ales and a balanced but punchy wine list.

The hotel hosts an 'Open Mic' night every Wednesday with a selection of local artists as well as live music every fortnight featuring established bands and up and coming artists.
