Nestling in the heart of beautiful rural Suffolk, close to the Heritage Suffolk Coast, this is the ideal place to relax with two and four legged friends.

There are 5 magical places to stay - 4 riverside decked cottages and The Mill House - all set beside the River Deben within 7 acres of trees and greenery at this historic Grade II Water Mill.

The safe site allows dogs to run free. The cottages are not just dog friendly, they are really dog friendly with no compromise on quality!

The Woodshed (Sleeps 2)

Perfectly formed romantic hideaway for two...bliss!  All living areas are ground floor, complete with shutters and uniquely boarded interior - rather like being in a cabin on a boat!  Fabulous handmade and fully equipped kitchen. With one ensuite bedroom with king size bed with Relyon memory foam mattress, decking and stunning view of the river from the bedroom patio doors.

The Hayloft & The Old Stables (Sleeps 8)

2 cottages each accommodating 4 guests as 2 cottages or 1 large cottage sleeping 8.

Interconnecting door between 2 cottages. Two ensuite bedrooms (wet rooms) and 2 bedrooms with a master bathroom. 2 super kings and 1 king size bed with Relyon memory foam mattresses.

1 King Size and 1 Super King Size bed in each cottage converts to twin beds as requested. With meadow and riverside decking. The dining table in the Old stables comfortably seats 4/6/8 guests.

The Old Stables (Sleeps 4)

Easy access - all on one level.

With two ensuite king bedrooms with Relyon mattresses (1 bedroom converts to a twin)and a large open plan lounge with two comfy sofas.

There is a spacious, fully fitted kitchen/diner (table extends to seat 8).

The Hayloft (Sleeps 4)

Upper level - featuring two spacious Super King bedrooms with Relyon memory foam mattresses (one bedroom converts to a twin). There is a large bathroom with shower bath and in the lounge, a leather corner suite with two electric fully reclining chairs. Fully fitted kitchen/diner.

The Mill House (Sleeps 8 - with a Disability Suite)

Meticulously and beautifully restored historic waterside property. With lush gardens and rolling farmland beyond - perfect rural idyll less than 20 minutes' drive from the sea. The property has a private patio and lower garden with fountain. Inside there is an extremely spacious ground floor living room with centrally placed circular wood burning stove and a contemporary style kitchen.

The ground floor of the property also features a disability suite, making the property ideal for families with more frail, vulnerable or differently abled family members, relatives or close friends to take some precious time out together. The layout and all the  appliances and furniture in the suite are chosen with mobility and independence in mind. The three upstairs beautifully decorated bedrooms have ensuite facilities and there is even a dog shower within the utility room!

The Riverside (Sleeps 2-4)

Located within the Mill building with views of the water wheel. Featuring one  luxury super king bedroom on the 1st floor, with leather corner suite on the ground floor complete with king bed/settee. Downstairs there is a fully tiled wet room, a utility room with washer/dryer and a gorgeous sun trap patio.

Wifi is available throughout all properties, along with welcome packs, TVs with BlueRay DVD players.

Travel cots, stairgates and high chairs are available and there are electric security main gates.

Dog Friendly

Winner of 2017 Visit England Dog Friendly Business of the Year, Letheringham Water Mill Cottages are perfectly situated for dog walking.

There are 7 acres for doggy frolics and fun - no worries about running away or getting lost as the grounds are completely surrounded by water which acts as a natural boundary. Dedicated dog crates are provided for all four legged guests complete with dog bowl, towel, blanket, poo bags and treats.
