There's no better way to celebrate Christmas than with a dip in the North Sea! But if you would prefer to stay dry and cheer on those brave enough to don their bathers, pop along to one of the many Christmas Day Dips on The Suffolk Coast.
Lowestoft
The annual Christmas Day Swim in Lowestoft takes place at 10am on Lowestoft beach, just north of the Claremont Pier. The swim is raising money for a number of local charities and those who have registered can use the changing facilities provided at the hotel.

Southwold
Taking place at 10.30am on Christmas morning, the swim at Southwold takes place on the beach in front of Gun Hill and is raising money for the R.N.L.I, Sole Bay Care Fund and The Little Princess Trust.
Entry is £15 in advance online (Online registration will close at midnight on 23rd December) and £20 on the day.
All swimmers must be 16 years or older on the day of the swim and all swimmers must attend a safety briefing prior to entering the water. Fancy dress is encouraged!

Aldeburgh
The seaside town of Aldeburgh lets you enjoy your turkey and presents and takes to the seas on Boxing Day, 26 December.
Raising funds for the RNLI and Make a Wish Foundation, the swim will take place at 11am on the beach opposite the Moot Hall. This is an event for confident swimmers who do not suffer from medical conditions which make cold water swimming unsafe. If you want to join in do please ensure you arrive in good time, at least fifteen minutes before the start time. Afterwards, head toThe White Lion where swimmers are provided with hot chocolate, snacks and warm sofas!
