Trail Overview

Starting at Britain's most easterly railway station, your first stop is to see one of Lowestoft's Banksy artworks; the Gull, created as part of his Great British Spraycation.

Walk along the town centre where you will find a range of shops, and past The Marina Theatre, taking time to enjoy some of the unique pieces of artwork in the town's cobbles.

You will then take in the historic High Street, past independent shops, cafes and galleries. From here, you explore the town's 'Scores', an important part of Lowestoft's history, used to link the High Street with the beach village that was found below.

Carry on through Sparrow's Nest and across to The Ness and on to Ness Point; the most easterly point of the United Kingdom!

About Lowestoft

Sitting proudly in the northernmost part of The Suffolk Coast is Lowestoft. Famous for being the most easterly town and the first place to see the sunrise in the UK, it's also the birthplace of composer Benjamin Britten.

The town is a favourite with families, and there's plenty to see and do; with two piers, a wildlife park, an award-winning theme park, museums and a busy theatre which is home to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
