Starting in Wickham Market's idyllic Market Square, stroll past local businesses including shops, cafes and antiques. Be sure to stop by Old School Antiques, once housing Wickham Market National School and Suffolk Sense, to buy local arts and crafts.

There are lots of cafes, pubs and eateries to stop in for sustenance before heading back.

About Wickham Market

Wickham Market has a rich history, once a pivotal point for access to Framlingham there was a weekly market and two fairs that were granted by Henry VI in 1440. The village continues to supply all the needed provisions locally, more from its' quality local shops!

In the recent past there was an iron and engineering works producing steam engines, water wheels, windmills and machinery especially for corn and flour mills.

Today, the town is home to independent shops selling everything from general hardware, home furnishings to food, giftware and clothing, a Post Office, pharmacy, tennis courts and multi-use games area, a skate park and two well established bowls club - something for every member of the family.
