View Point Cafe is a warm and friendly cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating serving all day breakfasts, snacks, fish and chips, 'dish of the day', cakes, ice cream, teas and coffees.
Take in the stunning views across the river and the opportunity to watch the huge cargo ships being loaded and unloaded at the Port of Felixstowe whilst you tuck into a tug driver’s breakfast or relax with a coffee and cake. Perfect fish and ships!
The View Point Cafe is set on the unique Landguard Peninsula, a nature reserve which is home to a diversity of flora, fauna, birds and wildlife. It's also home to Landguard Fort, one of Britain's best-preserved coastal defences which has played a key strategic role in the defence of the British Isles since the 1500's. It's a 'must see' attraction along with the fascinating collections held at the Felixstowe Museum - right on the doorstep of the cafe. Make sure you bring your binoculars for the ships and bird-watching spectacles!
View Point Cafe are currently operating their winter opening hours of 9am - 4pm daily. After a bracing walk along the beach, come in to the cafe, or sit on the terrace (dogs welcome), and enjoy a warming pot of tea or a coffee with a buttie. If you've worked up an appetite for lunch then the cafe serves their "hot dish of the day" and "pie of the day" served with a choice of mash, peas and gravy or beans and chips.
Alongside the popular all day breakfasts View Point Cafe serves snacks such as Welsh rarebit and meals including fish and chips. If you've saved room for dessert then you can continue to watch the busy port activity right outside the cafe whilst tucking in to the homemade hot pudding of the day.
