Pakefield Riding School

One of the oldest and best-known horse riding centres and stables in East Anglia.

Situated close to the countryside and Pakefield beach, in Lowestoft, The Riding School offers a wide range of activities to novices, experienced and advanced equestrian enthusiasts, including lessons for all abilities and any age from two years upwards, hacks and beach rides.

The School provides BHS Qualified Instructors with well-mannered horses and ponies suitable for all ages and abilities and is recognised and approved by the British Horse Society, Association of British Riding Schools and Riding for the Disabled.

Best known for fabulous one hour beach rides, the stables also offer shorter rides to the woods. Longer hacks are available to more experienced riders, including a three hour picnic ride.

Beginners and those who haven't ridden before can go for a walk with staff leading your horses. Those who have ridden before have the opportunity to go out on an accompanied hack and walk, trot and canter along the beach depending on ability and confidence levels.

The experienced teaching staff are confident that whether it’s your first time on a horse, you’re a nervous rider returning after a lengthy break, or a keen and enthusiastic intermediate/advanced rider looking to improve skills or try something new, they can address your needs.

Pakefield Riding School has also been a Riding for the Disabled centre for over 50 years and are very happy to provide patient, inclusive support for those with additional needs.
