Royal Naval Patrol Service Museum

This museum is dedicated to the work of the Royal Naval Patrol Service, a dedicated branch of the Royal Navy dealing with minesweeping and anti submarine work, that operated in WW2 from 1939 to 1946.

The museum is situated in the original wartime built buildings of HMS Europa, which was the Central Depot of the Royal Naval Patrol Service and was responsible for its operation in all waters of the world.

In the museum you will see models, artefacts, photographs, a mock up of a ships bridge and other memorabilia and our staff will be on hand to assist with any queries you may have.

The museum is situated in a lovely park with a cafe and restaurant adjacent to it. It is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 09:30 to 12:30 or at other times by mutual agreement.
