RSPB Minsmere Nature Reserve

Discover nature together on the beautiful Suffolk coast. Wander among the wetlands and woods, potter along the beach, and pause to watch some amazing wildlife.

Explore the Wild Zone with the family, then sample some delicious home-cooked, locally-sourced food in the cafe.

RSPB Minsmere is a great place to bring the family to enjoy nature on the Suffolk coast. After a friendly welcome in the visitor centre, there’s a choice of easy walks through beautiful woodland, wetland and coastal scenery.

The wildlife changes throughout the year but includes an amazing variety of birds, insects, flowers and other wildlife. Volunteer guides are on hand to help you to find bittern, otter, avocet or red deer, and there are regular guided walks to show many more species.

Families can hire an Explorer backpack to investigate minibeasts, build a den together, or play in the Wild Zone’s sand martin tunnels and bittern nest.

Dogs are allowed in the visitor centre and car park only. Limited shaded parking available. Assistance dogs only on nature trails.
