Walpole Old Chapel

Walpole Old Chapel is one of the earliest non-conformist chapels in the region. It was created in c1690, by the fiercely independent local congregation, who converted an existing C16th farmhouse. It has changed very little since. Visitors are captivated by the simplicity and authenticity of the interior.

The chapel is open to the public on Saturday afternoons from 2pm - 4.30pm, from 1st April till 28th September. It is also open, at the same times, on bank holidays.

The knowledgeable stewards will be on hand to answer your questions and help you get the most from your visit.

Private visits are welcomed by prior arrangement.

The chapel is also a unique performance venue. Please see our website for details of concerts and other events this year or go directly to https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/whats-on?q=Walpole%20Old%20Chapel
