The Suffolk Coast

HighTide Festival 2017

HighTide Festival is an annual festival of new plays on the gorgeous Suffolk Coast taking place between 12th and 17th September in Aldeburgh. Every year we present our latest productions as world premieres, surrounded by a programme of talks with world-class artists, play readings, comedy, cabaret and much more.

This year we are excited to be creating a new temporary theatre space called The Mix as part of the festival. It is a state-of-the-art, 260 seat theatre, and it will offer audiences a unique experience right on the seafront!

At the heart of the festival are the world premieres of two topical and thrilling plays by new writers Nessah Muthy and Sam Steiner, and the return of last year’s sold-out hit Girls by Theresa Ikoko.

We are presenting shows by Suffolk artists and previewing new plays that will be fully staged in future festivals, alongside a packed and varied festival programme of comedy, magic, family shows and artists in conversation.

The full programme, dates, times and booking details can be found on the website.
