200 Years of Suffolk Art
The East Anglian Traditional Art Centre based at 48 High Street, Wickham Market near Woodbridge is holding an exhibition titled '200 Years of Suffolk Art' exploring the legacy of John Constable in Suffolk over the last two centuries.
19th century works by Thomas Churchyard of Woodbridge, John Moore of Ipswich, the Smythe brothers and George Thomas Rope will be on display.Edward Seago, Harry Becker, Leonard Squirrell and Cavendish Morton will represent the 20th century.
Recent works by Graham Crowley, Kate Giles Julian Perry and other contemporary artists will show that Constable’s influence is still strong.
Alongside the loan exhibition a selection of paintings will be offered for sale, many on behalf of private collectors.
