Aldeburgh Music Club presents: Handels' Messiah

No Christmas would be complete without a performance of Handel’s Messiah, a profoundly joyful moment in the festive season.
First performed in Dublin in 1742, it has become one of the most popular pieces of music ever written, with its lively choruses, dramatic solos and uplifting melodies.

Aldeburgh Music Club – created in 1952 by Benjamin Britten – bring this much-loved work back to Snape Maltings this Christmas. Four brilliant professional soloists all of whom have a local connection will be accompanied by the Suffolk Baroque Players, conducted by Tom Appleton.
