Artists as Emigrants at The Red House

A new display held in The Red House gallery room.

This display, plus a talk on 22 June, showcases the fascinating works by artists who chose to leave their homeland and establish themselves in another country. Taking its lead from the themes of Britten in America, this exhibition from the Britten–Pears Foundation collection explores what inspiration artists find in a new land, and what they retain from the old.

Opening times: The whole site is open daily from 11am-4pm.

Accessibility: The site is wheelchair accessible except for the Composition Studio and the upstairs rooms of the House (360° virtual visits are available).
