The Norfolk & Suffolk Aviation Museum is pleased to be able to host an Easter Egg hunt and fund raising day to benefit the East Anglian Air Ambulance service.
What better way to celebrate Easter Sunday than with a chance to benefit the life saving work of the pilots and crews of the Air Ambulance – and find some chocolate at the same!
The East Anglian Air Ambulance operates two H145 helicopters from its Norwich and Cambridge bases, each having skilled crews consisting of two pilots, a doctor and a critical care paramedic. They are tasked, on average, eight times every day and supported a total of 1,453 helicopter missions in 2023.
The Team cover Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk and they provide life-saving critical care 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Incredibly, they are a charity and rely on donations to keep their services in the air. NASAM are very proud, and keen, to support their work, and equally keen that you should be able to as well. Come along to the museum to find out more – or take a look at the EEEA website at https://www.eaaa.org.uk/
The Museum site will be fully open as usual from 10am through to 4pm on the day, with all the aircraft, cockpits and equipment displays, the 446th, Air Sea Rescue, Bomber Command and ROC buildings all open and Museum Volunteers on hand to explain the thousands of aviation related items that make up the Museum Collection.
The NAAFI will be open for the serious business of tea (or coffee) and cake, and the shop will be offering a wide range of aviation related goodies to help you make the most of your day. If you really want to go to town on lunch then why not try the Buck Inn situated just outside the Museum gates - give them a ring on 01986 896883 and book your table!
Entrance to the Museum, and parking when you arrive, are all free - but donations are appreciated to help with the never ending maintenance of all the exhibits and to keep the Museum growing.
