Folk at the Froize presents HEIDI TALBOT AND TOBY SHAER

A Evening of Sublime Music and Delicious Food

Experience a night of dazzling music from two of the most celebrated musicians on the folk scene. Irish-born, Edinburgh-based singer Heidi Talbot has built an acclaimed international career that bridges folk tradition and contemporary song.

Described by The New York Times as “a voice that’s both awestruck and tender,” and hailed by Maverick as “simply vocal heaven,” she first rose to prominence in the U.S. with the Irish-American group Cherish the Ladies before launching a celebrated solo career.

Heidi has performed around the world – from the White House to the Sydney Opera House – and shared stages and studios with artists including Mark Knopfler, Eddi Reader, Jerry Douglas, King Creosote, and Graham Coxon (Blur).
Her ninth studio album, Grace Untold (November 2025), is a luminous song cycle honouring goddesses, heroines, and the women whose stories shape our world. It marks her debut as producer and continues her evolution as a songwriter of honesty and depth.

A winner of Composer of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards, Heidi has been nominated for BBC Folk Singer of the Year, Best Traditional Song, and Best Live Act.
“Grace Untold is Heidi Talbot’s radiant tribute to women’s voices across generations.”

Heidi will be accompanied by multi-talented, multi-instrumentalist Toby Shaer. Toby has traversed the globe, playing with some of the most revered artists on the circuit, beguiling audiences with his astonishing musicianship and witty repartee.

Doors will be open from 6.30pm. An optional two course supper is available from 6.30pm with desserts served during the interval – please book your supper at the same time as buying your ticket for the performance (vegan, vegetarian, GF, DF and carnivorous diets catered for).
Music from 7.30pm
