Heritage Open Days: The Life and Times of Bungay's Fisher Theatre
This exhibition explores the Fisher’s colourful history, from its early days as part of David Fisher’s ambitious Theatre Circuit.
To celebrate 20 years since the Fisher Theatre reopened its doors, this exhibition takes you on a fascinating journey through its colourful and sometimes turbulent past.
Discover the theatre’s early days as part of David Fisher’s ambitious Theatre Circuit, its eventual closure, changing uses, and period of decline, before following the remarkable story of its rescue and revival. In 2006, the Fisher was given a new lease of life. Two decades on, that renaissance has blossomed into the thriving theatre we know today — a much-loved venue once again at the heart of Bungay’s community, bringing people together through live performance, creativity and entertainment.
