Let's Go To The Hop
The TestostaTones return to Beccles Public Hall on Friday 26th September with Let’s Go to the Hop – the final chapter in their acclaimed Doo-Wop trilogy. Audiences can expect slick harmonies, timeless hits and plenty of nostalgia as the golden age of 1950s and 60s vocal groups comes alive.
Following two hugely popular shows, The Story of Doo-Wop and Shake, Rattle and Roll, The TestostaTones are back at Beccles Public Hall with the eagerly awaited finale of their Doo-Wop trilogy, Let’s Go to the Hop.
This vibrant production celebrates the golden era of vocal harmony, transporting audiences to the 1950s and 60s when Doo-Wop shaped the sound of early rock ’n’ roll. With sharp suits, polished harmonies and a lively stage presence, The TestostaTones recreate the magic of a soundtrack that defined a generation.
Audiences can look forward to classics from legends including Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, The Everly Brothers, Bill Haley & His Comets, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, and Ray Charles. It’s a feel-good evening of iconic songs designed to have everyone tapping their feet and singing along.
The group’s impressive CV includes performances for the Queen, Olly Murs and Arnold Schwarzenegger, alongside regular appearances on BBC Radio 2. Their show has even been described as “the missing song from the soundtrack of a Martin Scorsese movie.”
Tickets are £13 (£11 concessions) and available from Beccles Public Hall box office on 01502 770060 or online at www.becclespublichall.co.uk.
