Sweethearts of Swing at The Fisher Theatre

‘Sweethearts of Swing’ celebrates the music, singers and big bands who maintained morale during WWI and WWII.
The show reminds us of the role that such legendary entertainers as The Glenn Miller Big Orchestra, The Andrews Sisters, Flanagan and Allen, Vera Lynn and Max Miller among others played to help “win the wars”.

The show is presented by the Jonathan Wyatt Big Band, who have played for TV shows, celebrity parties and Gala performances and are described as East Anglia’s Premier Big Band. They will be joined by swing singers Stephen and Paul Amer and the band’s own vocal harmony trio The Moonglow Sisters.

‘Sweethearts of Swing’ presents the songs of crooners, forces sweethearts and bandleaders which were popular during WWI and WWII and is described as a sentimental tribute to the music, comedy and sketches which had such an important role in keeping up the morale of servicemen and everybody at home.

This fantastic concert commemorates the centenary of WWI and promises to take you on a trip down Memory Lane, including singalong sections and plenty of audience participation. Be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.
