Tales by Torchlight at Sutton Hoo

As the sun sets over Sutton Hoo explore this fascinating landscape and discover the Anglo-Saxon storytellers with tales to tell of heroes, monsters and gods.

Join us as winter is coming and the nights are drawing in to explore Sutton Hoo by torchlight and discover the Anglo-Saxon storytellers with tales to tell of heroes, monsters and gods. 


There will be two performances each night:

  • First performance will be from 6.00pm - 7.30pm
  • Second performance will be from 6.30pm - 8.00pm.

Children are welcome.

Dogs on leads are welcome.

Meet by the ship sculpture in the courtyard.

This event will take place outside and late evening so please dress appropriately and bring a torch.

Some of the terrain is uneven so this would be difficult to manoeuvre in the dark with a wheelchair or buggy.
