The Last Cuckoo

On Stage at Thorington Theatre

Andrew Harrison stars in 'The Last Cuckoo'.

Central character, Harry Baskerville, is a genuine eccentric... an irascible, unpredictable and engaging ornithologist with fantastic ruminations on hatching swallows, stained glass, fish pie, crocheted toilet roll covers and Rupert Bear. But this play is no sentimental, ecological apologia; beneath the glittering surface of the natural world is a disturbing pulse that grows ever more insistent.

Doors open 45 minutes before the show. The audience is invited to arrive early, bring a picnic (though no alcohol), enjoy some of the finest local wines, beers, ciders, ice creams and juices from the theatre bar, and soak up Mother Nature in this magical woodland setting.
