River View offers Bed & Breakfast accommodation close to the Suffolk coast with extraordinary views of a stunning estuary, providing privacy, comfort and style. It is located on the southern bank of the Alde estuary at Iken Cliff, near Aldeburgh, one mile down stream of the renowned Snape Maltings concert hall, café, shops and pub.

Completely refurbished in 2022, River View is available for two people in one or two bedrooms (double and twin). Once booked, the entire space including entrance hall, bedrooms, bathroom (with walk-in shower), breakfast area and sitting room is all yours. A simple, self-service Continental breakfast will typically include granola, cereal, yoghurt, milk, butter, bread/toast, jam and marmalade. There will also be tea, coffee (Lavazza coffee machine, cafetiere or instant) and orange juice.

Items available for guest's use include drinking glasses, crockery, cutlery, toaster, kettle and fridge (with small freezer unit). There is no kitchen for self-catering.

Both the double bedroom and sitting room (with sofa, armchairs and smart TV/DVD player) have wonderful views of the estuary as it winds its way from the Suffolk coast, past historic Iken Church and on up to Snape Bridge and the Maltings.
Bird life is in abundance including avocet and a multitude of other waders, while common seals can be seen on the mudbanks when the tide falls, or swimming in the river channel.

Close by is Orford and Framlingham with their respective ancient castles. The seaside town of Aldeburgh is 15 minutes away, while Thorpeness, Woodbridge and Southwold are within easy reach, not forgetting the pretty villages of Walberswick and Dunwich. In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, River View really does offer a unique location for a short-break stay in a wonderful part of the country.
