The Anchor

A traditional village pub, with restaurant, and 10 cosy rooms, 6 of which are garden chalets.

Plenty of alfresco seating on the 3 beautiful terraces in the summer and a roaring log fire for the winter!

The Anchor strives to be the hub of the village, hosting an annual real ale festival; exhibitions by local artists in the flint barn and live music events throughout the year.

There is a table permanently reserved for the locals so that they are always welcome no matter the time of year.

The Anchor uses seasonal and local produce, changes the specials daily and likes to use vegetables from their own allotment wherever possible. There is freshly baked bread for sale at the bar, daily specials and over 50 imported beers.

The pub has been building up their ‘village bakery’ offerings to include spelt bread, baguettes, wholemeal, white loaves as well as Chelsea buns, donuts, churros and pastries. Delicious!
