The 130-acre site is being returned to nature through agency-led schemes that support biodiversity, nature recovery, and local flood alleviation, while also providing a base for ecological and agricultural research and trial projects. At the heart of the initiative is a 30-year plan to explore how traditional land management, combined with emerging technologies, can deliver environmental gains, benefit the wider community, and support future generations.

With a range of walks available onsite and those that take you a little further, spot the plethora of residents adoring the skies, meadows and enjoying the cooling waters that boarder our land.
