Fireworks Displays on The Suffolk Coast

You can't beat the excitement of a good fireworks display; wrapping up warm, steaming hot cups of hot chocolate, a roaring bonfire and a banger or two to light up the sky! Take your pick of these family friendly events and make your bonfire night go off with a bang!

Firework & Bonfire Evening, Ipswich – Saturday 26th October

Orwell Scouts Association are asking people to bring their creative flair to their annual Firework & Bonfire evening on Saturday 26th October.

If fancy dress is your thing, or if you are a whizz at carving pumpkins these will be judged from 6pm with a prize for the winners.

The gates will be open from 5.30pm at Hallowtree Scout Campsite and tickets are available to buy on the day for £4 each with under 4’s free!

Fireworks Season Finale at Pleasurewood Hills, Lowestoft – Sunday 27th October

East Anglia’s favourite family theme park gets ready to close its doors with an amazing firework spectacular by the firework display specialists responsible for the London Eye New Year’s Eve event. They have a live DJ playing dance party music, along with all of your favourite rides, shows and attractions to see the 2019 season out in style.

Fireworks start at 6pm but ticket price includes access to the park from 10am.

On gate ticket prices based on height (discounted rates available at www.pleasurewoodhills.com) - £22 gold, £20 silver, £17.50 concessions.

Hadleigh Fireworks – Friday 1st November

Following their sellout event last year, Hadleigh United Football Club are gearing up for their annual display on Friday 1st November at The Millfield.

Gates open at 6.30pm with something for the whole family including games stalls and a licensed bar. The display starts at 7.30pm with tickets at £5 for adults, Under 16’s at £4 and Under 5’s FREE.

Bonfire Night at The Sorrel Horse - Friday 1st November

Nestled in the quiet village of Shottisham, The Sorrel Horse is a traditional country pub serving cask ales, and hearty pub food. On bonfire night from 6pm - 10.30pm, there will be a bonfire and firework display plus outside bar, pizzas and BBQ wit live music from Urban Myth. No booking necessary, just turn up and enjoy!

There's plenty of free, off road parking at Shottisham Campsite with free entry (donations are gratefully received). 

Fireworks Display with Music, Woodbridge – Saturday 2nd November 2019

Grundisburgh’s fireworks display is suitable for the whole family. The display kicks off at 6pm so this is ideal with families with younger children. A selection of hot food and drinks will be available with all proceeds going towards two scouts attending the European Jamboree in 2020.

Gates open at 4.30pm at Grundisburgh playing field. Tickets are £6 per adult and £4 per child and available to buy on the gate.

Heveningham Hall Fireworks - Saturday 2nd November 2019

Suffolk's biggest firework display includes a huge bonfire, live entertainment, traditional funfair, helter skelter, two bars, food stalls, the amazing LED Drummers and a spectacular display by Full Effect Fireworks. 

There's live music from Brit-nominated band The Feeling, Little Sister and Morgan Way.

Advance tickets are £30 per car (up to 7 passengers) or £35 on the gate. Pedestrians are £10 per adult and £5 per child (4-14 years). Tickets are available online at http://www.suffolk-fireworks.co.uk/tickets/ 

Gates open at 4.30pm with the fireworks display taking place between 7pm - 8pm depending on traffic to the site. 

Bonfire Night & Family Party, Ipswich – Saturday 2nd November 2019

Capel Community Trust are holding their annual bonfire night on Saturday 2nd November. Not only are they having a traditional bonfire and display, they have a free family disco in the Village Hall from 7pm. 

Tickets cost just £3.50 for adults and £2.50 for children and are available to buy on the day. Gates open at 5.45pm and tickets are on a first come first served basis.

They are also asking for donations of any ‘woody’ items for their bonfire from 9am on the day of the event.

Family Fun & Fireworks, Lowestoft – Sunday 3rd November 2019

To celebrate their 50th Anniversary, Elm Tree Primary School are hosting an evening of “Family Fun & Fireworks”, an event for the local community to raise funds for the current and future children of Elm Tree Primary School.

Gates open at 3.30pm, with plenty of food stalls, rides and games to keep the whole family entertained. Gates close at 7pm with the display starting shortly after.

Tickets are now on sale and can be purchased from the school directly between 8am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Ticket prices are £5 each, with a family ticket at £15 for 2 adults and up to 3 children and children under 3 go free!

Fireworks Extravaganza, Lowestoft – Saturday 9th November

Lowestoft & Yarmouth Rugby Club are offering a fireworks event to remember on Saturday 9th November at Gunton Park in Lowestoft.

With a vast array of food and drink stalls, sweet and donut stalls, face painting and music there really is something for everyone. Not to mention the firework spectacular starting approximately 7pm.

There is free parking at Tesco from 6.30pm with the Rugby Club a short walk away. Tickets are £5 on the gate.
