Willow Lakes Trout Fishery, Chediston

Suffolk Water Park, Ipswich
Just outside Ipswich, The Suffolk Water Park is the go-to destination for carp fishing, boasting 12 well-maintained lakes set within 40 acres of peaceful countryside. Known for its impressive stock of carp, some weighing over 40lb, the park attracts both seasoned anglers and anyone looking to improve their skills.
There’s a mix of day-ticket and syndicate waters, so visitors can choose from a variety of fishing experiences, including specimen, match, and pleasure fishing. On-site facilities include a fully stocked tackle shop, café, toilets, and ample parking. Day tickets start from just £12.

High Lodge Leisure, Darsham
Individuals, families and corporate groups can all enjoy a pleasant, friendly surroundings and excellent fishing at High Lodge, Darsham. The site currently has 2 lakes, each approximately half an acre in size, on which a range of fishing techniques is suitable. One lake is situated in front of our holiday lodges which provide fishing for the holiday lodge customers only. The other lake is positioned close to our main club house and is open to the public and corporate giving easy access to the numerous facilities which includes free car parking, refreshments, and toilet facilities at High Lodge.
Both lakes contain a mix of coarse fish including Carp up to 20Ibs+, Tench, Roach, Rudd & Perch, all of which should prove some excellent sport for the pleasure and match angler alike throughout the year.
Please note fishing at High Lodge is bailiff controlled and therefore a National Rod Licence and High Lodge Fishing Permit are both required to fish the lakes. Under 12's must be supervised by an adult at all times. Fees are £8 per person for a day.

Cookley Lake, Halesworth
Cookley Lake is a privately owned, 2-acre freshwater fishing lake located near Halesworth, offering a peaceful setting surrounded by wildlife. Stocked with Carp (Mirror up to 30 lbs, Common, and Crucian), Rudd, and Tench, the lake provides an excellent fishing experience for anglers of all levels. With 20 well-spaced pegs, easy parking close to the water, and year-round access, it’s the perfect spot for a relaxing day of fishing.
Fees are £6 for one rod or £10 for two, with fishing permitted from dawn to dusk using barbless hooks. Tickets must be collected from Hillhouse Farm, Walpole (IP19 9AR) before fishing. Advance tickets can be arranged by calling 07850 671422.
Aldeburgh, Dunwich & Southwold
Aldeburgh is well known for its shingle beach; an excellent platform for sea fishing. Angler can expect to land Bass, Flounder, Sole, Dabs, Cod and Whiting as well as eels! The many shacks along the coast selling fresh fish is testament to what an abundant location this is.
Southwold’s beach and pier are both popular spots for fishing, with a picturesque setting and ample opportunities to catch sea fish. The pier also has a lovely cafe for refreshments, so you can enjoy a bite while you wait for a bite.
Once a significant medieval port, Dunwich in the present day offers a less crowded fishing experience, perfect for anyone seeking a more peaceful and secluded day out.
Orford
Situated on the River Ore, Orford offers both river and sea fishing opportunities. Head down to Pump Street Bakery to stock up on refreshments and a good coffee to enjoy while you fish.
Thorpeness
This is a very unique place to cast off,
Thorpeness was once a tiny fishing hamlet but was transformed into a fantastical holiday village complete with a man-made meare. You can choose to fish there or alternatively head down to the sea. Explore the cafe too, which offers a range of sandwiches, cakes and delicious hot food.
Lowestoft & Pakefield
Head to
Lowestoft to experience fishing in the UK’s most easterly point. The town has its own rich and celebrated maritime history- there’s even a museum, which you can find in the Sparrow’s Nest park. Follow in the footsteps of fishermen of old and try your luck fishing on the South Pier or along the beach itself.
Kessingland
Not far along the coast from Lowestoft’s golden sands you’ll find the more wild beaches of
Kessingland. A mix of sand and shingle, with shelter from the Marram grasses, Kessingland offers a quieter and more secluded fishing spot.
