The triple-height Great Barn restaurant at Retreat East offers a fabulous foodie experience at the heart of Suffolk, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.

Dinner 

The Great Barn is a spectacular venue to dine in the Suffolk countryside and tranquillity of Retreat East. With its seasonal menu created using produce from the Kitchen Garden, it's the perfect place for a romantic meal for two, or a get-together between family and friends. Dining in The Great Barn is Monday - Saturday from 6.00 pm to 8.30 pm.

Breakfast

Available every day from 8.30am to 10.30am in The Great Barn, guests can enjoy a range of breakfast dishes including a selection of English Muffins, fluffy pancakes and a full Suffolk breakfast. The Retreat East breakfast menu is the perfect accompaniment to your stay or are visiting and looking for a hearty breakfast in Suffolk.

Sunday Dining

There is no better way to spend a Sunday than with a decadent roast dinner followed by a stroll in the English countryside. At Retreat East, you can have the best of both with a traditional roast and idyllic location. Sunday dining serves from 12pm-7.30pm.

Afternoon Tea

From freshly baked scones with clotted cream & strawberry jam to homemade cakes, pastries, sandwiches, and Dingley Dell sausage rolls, if you're looking spoil someone special or want to treat yourself to a little luxury, you’ll enjoy the Retreat East Afternoon Tea experience. Priced at £29 per person with an option to upgrade to the Indulgent Afternoon Tea, which includes a glass of crémant or cocktail for an additional charge. Afternoon tea is served from spring onwards.

Wine & Cocktails

Enjoy a cocktail or two as you watch the sun go down over the idyllic Suffolk countryside on Retreat East's south-facing terrace. There's also a fantastic selection of wines available from crisp whites to full bodied reds and fruity rosés.
